Kalamunda Market Saturday 7th September 2013

I am very busy getting ready for the Kalamunda Market this Saturday and there will be heaps of news for you to look at.

Where: Kalamunda Market, stall no. 157
When:  Saturday 7th September 2013 from 8am

I made some new screen prints with the little birdy stamp I made a while ago. These are sewing bags and pincushions and aren't they just sew sweet?

This is my other new screen print. They look good on branches or just by themselves hanging from a hook somewhere in a home.

I started early with my Christmas decoration this year ;-)
Just can't wait for it.

How about these cute paper garlands? They will look good at any Birthday party. I made them for boys and girls.

And then there was the moose couple. In great summer colors with matching inside, the bags are reversible. Let the summer start!

And finally I made some more storage baskets (they fit the IKEA EXPEDIT bookcases). With the little blackboard label it's easy to keep track whats stored inside.

That's it for me for now. I hope to see you on Saturday at the Kalamunda Market.

Kalamunda Market Saturday 3rd August 2013

Once again there is a loud sewing machine noise coming from Forrestfield as I am getting ready for tomorrow. You will find me at:

Kalamunda Market, stall no. 157
Saturday 3rd August 2013 from 8am to aprox. 2pm

AND IT WILL BE SUNNY!!! So what are you waiting for, grab your friends and come along for some market fun.

Here a sneak peak of my latest creations.

I made fabric button earrings (15mm diameter) and there are plenty to choose from. Cute as a button!

As I am already busy preparing for Christmas decoration I had some cut offs from the red polka dot fabric and I just CANNOT throw any fabric in the bin. So I had the idea of making mushroom doorstops and did they not just turn out adorable? Not only for little girls ;-)

And finally some more shopping and beach bags.

While mum is busy sewing Libby has a well deserved rest on the new sofa. It's hard work to be a puppy.

I wish you all a good weekend and hope to see you at the market.

Kalamunda Market Sat 6th July 2013

Once again its time for the Kalamunda Market this weekend.
You will find me on Saturday 6th July 2013 at the market stall no. 157 as usual.

After my creative boost last month (I found heaps of great new magazines) I tried to make new things.
Here is a sneak peak of what I have been up to lately:

This is my new bunting. It is reversible and one side is blackboard material and the other mexican oilcloth or plastic coated fabric. How cool to leave your own message on one of these? I even made two baby versions that could be hung on a door.

I also made 20 (!) felt key rings from handmade felt balls and a red leather strip. The only hard thing about them is to choose one from the great colours.

This is my birdie prototype. I might make a flock of them for Christmas.

After looking far and wide for funky dishcloths I found a great idea in a magazine and this is my version. You might as well have fun in the kitchen while doing the cleaning.

And how about these super cute drawstring bags? They are lined inside with a contrasting or matching fabric. They would make a great present for a baby shower (filled with all things a new baby needs).

And last but not least I made some cushions. The top picture is made from Japanese fabrics and the bottom picture is just so sweet with its little "ears" on the corners. All covers have a zip and can be taken off for washing.

This is it for me ;-)

I wish you all a great sunny WA weekend and maybe I will see you at the markets.

Kalamunda Market and Growers Green Farmers Market this weekend

If you are looking to do something fun over the WA long weekend come along to one of the markets. You will find me at:

Saturday 1st June 2013: Kalamunda Market, stall no. 157
Sunday 2nd June 2013: Growers Green Farmers Market in Freo
                                  http://www.growersgreenfarmersmarket.com/

I show you what I have been doing the last few weeks:

These "things" (I cannot decide what they are) are so much fun to make. I hope they will get many brothers and sisters soon.

Can you tell that this was still a Nutella jar yesterday morning? Now it has a new life as a pincushionbuttonjar.

And then another order. A lady bought a very similar cushion from me in Freo and asked for another one to match. I screen print the middle pattern on to the cushion.

My sister sent me an issue of Mollie Makes (a very cool craft magazine). It showed how to make stamps. I am very happy with those. The birds wing can be used as wing, rain drop or flower. I will need to make some more, it's addictive ;-) if I only could turn around the first picture... I tried...

That's me for now. Hope you are all having a great weekend ahead.

White IKEA Stockholm Sofa and a puppy

What do you do when you just bought a new white sofa and then realise that your dog loves the thing as much as you do and leaves pawprints all over it?
You sew a patchwork cover. Taaaadaaa...

Now its easy to cuddle on it and wash the covers. Matching pillow cases will follow soon. We are happy now.

Kalamunda & Freo Growers Market 4th & 5th May 2013

First of all a BIG thank you to everybody that came along to the last Kalamunda Market to see me (and of course Libby). We had a great day out.

Already another month is passed and I am ready for a busy market weekend:

Saturday 4th May 2013: Kalamunda Market, stall no. 157
Sunday 5th May 2013: Freo Growers Market
                                  http://www.growersgreenfarmersmarket.com/

Both market days promise to be big ones due to Mothers day coming up (don't forget that one).

And here is a wrap up of some of my latest work:

I made a lovely flower power bag, some Mothers day toiletry bags, reversible placemats (one side yellow and the other side green) and of course again heaps of doorstops and hairbands.

So come along this weekend, join the fun and have a great day out.

I wish you all a fantastic Friday and a happy weekend.
